VersaMail Upgrade

Hi,

I am trying to install VersaMail 3.5 (the upgrade) but when it get's to the very end of the hotsync, it states that the device must be reset. When I tap "O.K." my device goes into reset loops. I have tried a warm reset (which stops the loops) and then tried de-activating everything that my be a conflict, but still when I reset, I get the loops.

Weird thing is, after a hard reset and restore (which is the only thing that get's me out of the reset loop), I am asked to reset the device and all works fine.

So ........ my question is: Is there any way to get VersaMail onto my device without the reset at the end?

The response I got from Palm (to stop the resets) was:

Open the Applications launcher (main window of your handheld with all the icons)
Access the Menu launcher or click on the upper left of the screen.
From the App menu choose Delete.
Look for any file that would say ?updater?.
Tap on the file to highlight.
Tap on the Delete button.
Tap on the Yes button to confirm that you wish to delete the chosen application.

Does this make any sense?

I have made problems worse by listening to them in the past so thought I'd try getting some expert user advice first.
