VersaMail not sending e-mails

I've got Versamail set up with outlook express. Whenever I write an e-mail and send it from my Palm (TT), I get the following message in the hotsynch log when I hotsynch to send the mail:

- Could not send the following message to the e-mail application:
From: .....e-mail address....., 5/6/2004, "subject"
- A protocol send error has occured.

The e-mail does not send. My Palm used to send fine, now it's just randomly stopped.

Any ideas?

The reason I used JackSprat to YANK VersaMail was because I could send, but not RECEIVE messages. It's a quirky mess if you ask me, and I'd rather have the 1MB of free room on the Palm and send email from the PC.

I'd like to know who out there uses SOMETHING ELSE and if they like it -- I hear good things about Iambic Mail, which would be included if I upgraded to Agendus Professional.

If you think VersaMail conduits are a pain when they don't work, just try deleting them from the PalmDesktop and leaving the rest intact. I gave up or I have a feeling I'd have to reinstall. There is another thread on this VersaMail problem related to the 4.1.4 upgrade; you might check out and monitor that one, too. I apologize for not being to help you AT ALL -- it's beyond me.
 
....I for one can't help re Versamail, and I tried almost all of the advice on these threads, including the sacrificing 5 chickens for each message (strange but hey, I'll give it a go....good chicken curry afterwards though!).

PTL, I upgraded to the Agendus Pro, with Iambic Mail, after your suggestion to give the basic agendus a crack, and I love it! Works fine, and with a final tweak I'm trying to get it to pick up my e-mail via Outlook without having to boot up Outlook before a synch (if that makes sense). Prior to that the Inbox to Go worked very nicely, but with the same limitations at AG Pro.
