Versa vs. New LG Chocolate Touch

I understand that the new Chocolate Touch just came out two days ago, but I need a new phone as my current one dies out in half of a day. So I'll give it a shot and ask for your guy's opinions.

What I need:
-A replacement for my phone AND my aging iPod Nano
-A decent music player that I sync and organize playlists on my computer
-decent battery life (must last a day or two or more before charging).
-Sound quality of calls is not a priority for me, though reception is.
-A good Calendar and UI

My habits:
-Less than an hour on the phone
-around a dozen text messages a day
-Calendar use
-around 2 hours on the music player.

Any help is appreciated. And if anyone finds a review of the chocolate touch, then I would really love to see that too.

Thanks yall

I've been holding out for the versa to compare it to the new chocolate touch. and though my needs are a bit different in that I am more in need of a good web experience, here is my comparison.

First, I have had neither, so my info is on me fooling around with the phones in the store and online user reviews.

Ok, i thought the chocolate would fit the bill for me. In short, it doesnt. The touch screen is not good at all, from my fooling, the Versa was alot better.

The browser on the Versa was quicker, the choco touch was very very slow. I know the choc is Rev0 and the Versa is RevA, and though people say its not that much of a speed difference, I totally felt the difference. let it be known, I played with the touch today, which is the day of the droid release, so maybe the network was backed up, but if its not RevA I wonder if it would make a difference. I did play with the Versa again, and it was faster still.

The volume of the speaker of the Choco was really really good, versa i think is just OK, better than the Env Touch or the Rogue, but that Choco speaker was something to be reckoned with. Think the Versa build quality might have a slight edge. As far as call quality and reception I cant tell you, nor about battery life. But if I were to pick up one, I would get the Versa. Sad thing is, I went to pick up the Choco touch, played with it, didnt like it at all, played with the Versa then tried the Droid for shiits and giggles. Holy Moly Canoli, that droid is awesome. I am a cheap bast@rd, but may splurge for that device. It really is nice software, at least in my opinion.

Sorry if I confused you more.

PS i had the rogue which I did like, but there were too many Software problems with the phone, if that thing had all its quirks worked out, that would be an all around winner and I wouldnt want anything else. Maybe down the line, but not now. Problems were, speaker volume, video clarity, picture sizes, build quality, erasingtexts reboots the system, and some other little bothersome softare problems. I thought the battery was fairly decent for such a lagre display and call quality and reception was terrific. As I said a well made and tested Rogue would be a phone to be reckoned with. Droid looks like a winner, just got to cough up the cash.

Good Luck, i'd like to know what you decide and how it works out for you, Grandeson
