Anyone seen this?

Went to cinema to see it last night... Nothing special at all, another film that has been soured by holywood stereotypes and persistant pulling on the heart strings. I doubt many people out of Ireland have heard of this woman, yet she is made to seem the most important person that ever existed in this film.
Funny in places, but for me, it was too much of the sad stuff  - Her family went to see this at the premiere, it must have been pretty bad for them, especially the actual murder scene, the cinema I was at was almost empty, but most people seemed pretty upset by it...

haven't seen the film but i have heard of Veronica Guerin.
i still remember the news reports of her death.
as for being the
well as the film is about her then she will be shown in that context.

Yes, I realise this, but if you havn't seen the film then you would not really understand, they made it seem as if she saved Dublin from drugs, and that the whole world is indebted to her.
Can a movie not be made where the truth is told in the correct context?

well, you know Hollywood, factual facts are usually disregarded in favour of untruths and dramatical effects.
i agree Veronice Guerin was a heroine, but first and foremost ,she was a investigative journalist.
