I have a Blackberry tour that I purchased used . the device has the well known defect that causes the trackball not to work properly horizontally. My question is the store tell me they cant warranty it because I didnt buy it from them ,However I pay the $1.99 a month for the extended warranty. Shouldnt they warranty the phone because of that even though it was purchased used.
I have read there term and conditions on this matter and it says nothing about it not covering devices purchased directly from them ..
Any insight would be apreciated

I don't think so. I guess I'm a bit confused as to why your still paying insurance on a phone they won't cover. What they are saying is they won't cover it because they have no idea who owned it before and what they did with it.

Heck, if that was the case, you could buy a phone that's on it's last leg, get it activated, and a month later knowing the phone was done for turn it in on insurance and expect to get a new one. If they did there insurance that way, I'd buy those kind of phones all day long. Get where I am going with this?

Call customer service and request them to remove the $1.99 from your account. Whenever you get a used device...they ARE NOT allowed to offer an extended warranty to you...the store representative is correct.
