It depends. When you say "switch" phones, you mean you already have the extra one right? You're not buying it from Verizon as an early upgrade? If so.... if you already owned it, or bought it from ebay or something, then you can change it all you want. Whenever you want. No fee. And it will not affect your upgrade OR your contract.

If you mean switch it, as in using your upgrade early and getting it from Verizon then that IS using your upgrade, it wont charge for activation but you'll pay for whatever phone you get and that will count as your upgrade.

So I want to change my phone online, I already have a phone with me, but I was just wondering if I change it online, would it cost me? (First time changing it, but I do have a plan already)

& I was also wondering, if I switch phones, can I still get an upgrade in 3 months, cause it said my phone can get an upgrade in 3 months. So basically, is the plan getting upgraded or just the phone? Which means, if I switch phones, will I still be able to upgrade to a new phone?
