Hello, this story is rather long and complex, so we should begin.
While camping last weekend, my buddy fell asleep on my EnV2. I awoke the next morning to 4 black cracks leading out of the bottom left-hand corner of the inside LCD. He apologized, but apologies don't fix broken phones. Once I got home, I immediately called Verizon. To my dismay, they could not repair my phone for free, but instead they wanted to charge me a ridiculous sum of money. I refused. I figured I'd wait until my contract expires,(August 3rd), until I bought a new phone.
This morning, I was talking to an old friend of mine and he noticed the cracks in my screen. He offered me his old EnV(1) for free. (Ironic, right?) I was very happy that he offered to do this for me.
My question is: Will it cost any money to activate the EnV1, and if so, how much?
Also: Will the activation of this "replacement" phone affect my upgrade bonus this Summer?
