Verizon Wireless Cell Phone Help!?

There are three phones on my plan, and two of the phones including mine are not eligible for an upgrade until 2011, however, the third phone is eligible for an upgrade now. Can i use the third phone's upgrade to get a new phone for me? The other person still wants to keep his phone, i just want a new one so is there any way to use his upgrade, and i get a new phone, while he keeps his?

do i have to go into the store to tell them that is what i want to do or is there anyway to do it online?
 
Yes, absolutely. Verizon has absolutely no problem with that at all. (You will, of course, have to extend the contract on the 3rd person's phone by 2 years, but YOUR contract will still expire and be eligible at it's normal time, and he could use your upgrade to get his phone replaced...)
 
Yes just tell whoever is on your plan to get the phone you want. Make sure he keeps his old phone and if they don't wont the new phone let you have it. Hopefully when you upgrade the phone you don't have to do a 2 year contact renewal. Even if you do its not that bad. Your pretty much paying the same either way.

To my knowledge, there is no way to do this online. In-store, it would be called an "alternate upgrade". The other person's contract would then be extended
