Verizon vs. Sprint Employee Referal

I have sprint with employee referal plan which is basically 500 minutes + unlimited everything for 30 a month. The plan is fair in flexible as well so if I go over my minutes it just adds $5 to my bill and bumps up to the next amount of minutes.

This plan is amazing, and I have a new phone upgrade comin in december and I am pretty upset because I get the $150 off, but none of the additional discounts that new customers get that can bring a phone down to $100 that for me will still cost $300 or so. I do not want to pay this much after waiting 2 years and having to extend my contract for this hardly low pricing. I also do not want to quit and start a new account with sprint because then they will take away my sweet plan and I will have just a normal plan which will be no cheaper than anywhere else.

I know verizon is the best, but you do have to pay extra for the best. Verizon has amazing phones and the best coverage around for sure. I will probably leave sprint if they are not willing to match new customer phone pricing for me and will go to another company. I would really like verizon but I would like to know what the very best plan I could get would be.

I personally have never even come very close to 500 minutes, I use loads of text messages though, I want gps, and obviously unlimited net use for that feature and whatever else I might decide to use the net for. What are the best plans out there? I have checked out the prices online, and they seem pretty high, I could get the instinct on sprint for about the same cost a month. Are there any special plans out there?
