Verizon Survey Finds Some People Are More Imporatant Than Others

With the launch of the Verizon Wireless Friends and Family plans, out comes the research...who will you add?

Verizon Wireless conducted a survey which included 750 consumers age 18 and over. This is what they found:

  • Consumers prefer to talk with their family freely over their business/boss.
  • Men are more likely to add a spouse while women are more likely to add their parents.
In general, the results were 78% of people preferred to talk to their family while only 2% preferred to add their co-workers to their unlimited calling.

Other important findings (some may be repeated from what I stated and is copied from Verizon Wireless):
What's your opinion, who would you add?

I would love to just be able to have the friends and family plan. I am excluded because I have a family plan with 700 minutes and paying $125.00/month after taxes. All other carriers with the friends and family plans include everybody. Just another reason I might leave Verizon when my plan is up. I have been with them for 10 years now and I am spending more money each time I renew with them. So, to tell you the truth, I could care less who people add to their friends and family lists. This is just another article to keep your minds off of the real issues with Verizon.

I would like to point out that Verizon Wireless is the first "big dog" carrier to ever release it, like I've mentioned before. Big dog doesn't include T-Mobile, they aren't in the top 3 U.S. carriers.

You wouldn't be complaining about NOT being able to have the service if it simply wasn't available to anyone. You didn't have it before, why would you complain about it now? You're going to have to go to T-Mobile, since they're the only other carrier (besides the previous Alltel) to offer this service.

T-mobile is probably the place I will go. I could care less who is in the big dog club. Then again, if Verizon is in that club, you would think they could include everybody. By the way, what difference does it make whether I had it before or not? Did you think about this comment before you wrote it?:
You wouldn't be complaining about NOT being able to have the service if it simply wasn't available to anyone. No kidding?
Lets see, I am complaining now because it is not offered to everyone, just certain people that spend enough money with them and have a certain amount of minutes.

Also, think about the fact that T-Mobile doesn't offer unlimited Mobile to Mobile calling or Night/Weekends free if you have this feature.

I worded that tricky...sorry. Some plans offer Mobile To Mobile, My Faves, and a set amount of minutes. While others include Unlimited Nights/Weekends, My Faves, and a set amount of minutes. Lastly, some plans include everything above...but it isn't as "cheap" and competitive.

I've had T-Mobile, know how that world's like...I'd go to Sprint before I'd go to T-Mobile.

I personally am disappointed Verizon can't offer the high end services to the lower guys...but it is how it is. I too am not on a qualifying calling plan (I use to be, but am not anymore).

I have been with Verizon for over 7 years now...i am thinking about getting the Iphone and moving to AT&T because verizon doesn't seem to care much about me and won't offer me carry over minutes, etc....
