Verizon Phone Contract?

Ok, so, I got a Samsung Sway from Verizon Wireless a little over a yr ago(November 14, 200), I'm on the 2 yr phone contract so I'm not supposed to get a new phone until next yr, and just last week(right after one yr) my phone started acting up. The speaker doesnt work in calls, the camera keeps having 'errors', the backlight won't light up, and the button to cancel things(and turn off the phone) isnt responding. I was just wondering what I could do for this? I dont know what my warranty is for this phone, and I really dont want to have a phone that can do nothing for a whole 'nother year. So any ideas on what I can do?

PS...ive only dropped this phone once or twice and that was a long time ago.No physical damage.
btw, ive tried plugging it into the charger and taking the battery out and putting it back in, but neither has worked.

Unless you were purchasing the optional phone insurance, the original manufacturer's warranty is only 1 year.

There are several options. Take it to a verizon repair center and see how much it would cost to repair, buy a used phone from ebay, craigs list etc., buy a new phone from Verizon, bestbuy, or some internet sites at "retail" price, or check with Verizon to see if they have refurbished phones available at a discount.
