Verizon phone activation question?

I have a Droid 2 and I have 2 years of insurance on it.. when my phone dies when im out and about I carry an older phone for the time and I decided to activate it and it said it might remove insurance so I stopped the process but will it? Its like a phone with no camera from llike6 years ago if it matters and its LG
