Verizon Newsgroups

I was wondering if anyone else uses Verizon newsgroups?

I just gpt FiOS the other day and was really hopin to rape them, but the problem is headers dowload around 60kB a sec, and then I can open up 8 threads once I find what i want to download and ive seen the speed get up to 3.5mbps down.

So my question is (to anyone on Verizon with either a really fast DSL or FiOS), is this the same situtation for you?

*I'm really thinking of signing up for giganews.
 
One of the best sources of information about the Verizon newsgroups service is their own support and discussion newsgroup, '0.verizon.discussion-general'.
