Verizon - My friend sent me one, but I keep getting the same text over and over?

I don't know if it's because it was an international text, and something went wrong.. but I keep getting the same text over and over when he only sent one. His number is not 10-digits, so I can't even block it. Each text is being added onto my statement, but not on his. What's going on and what should I do?
