Verizon is going to put me in the poor house!?

I became a first time customer with Verizon in mid January. I got two simple phones, a family plan with 1400 minutes and the ability to have up to 10 friends and family. I asked the associate if I can add my friends and family through my phone since I didn't have the internet. He told me that I could. I added them to my favorites, since that is what HE TOLD ME TO DO!!

Then, I ended up with a $2300 phone bill. Since your favorites are NOT your friends and family, while we thought we weren't being charged for our many conversations, we were. We also did NOT get any kind of a warning that we had gone over our allotted minutes, let alone that this bill was over $2000.

I have spoken to numerous customer service representatives, an associate and the manager at the store I bought the phone from, customer service supervisors, and someone at a place they call COS.

No one, apparently, has the ability to issue a credit. They are not going to help me when this is obviously a mistake, not on my part, but on THEIRS, since it was their rep that told me to add them through favorites to begin with.

What I'm looking at now, is that my phone is going to be shut off for nonpayment. I am locked into a 2 year contract unless I pay the $600 contract breakage fee... all this and I've been a customer for 2 months!

I need to know who I can talk to to get this resolved. I offered to change my plan to unlimited and they cannot retro-act that plan since that billing cycle is already over. I don't know why this wasn't offered in the beginning when I was still in that billing cycle.

I need help. Verizon is going to put me in the poor house! Has anyone ever experienced this?? What do I do?!
