Verizon Droid shortcut help?

I just got a Verizon Droid a few days ago and am still learning how to do things on it. It is the original droid (the one with the slide out keyboard). I figured out how to place shortcuts on my main screen but i accidentally put a shortcut on the main screen that i don't want on there. how to i remove the shortcut? the shortcut is 'manage applications'. i would like it to be on the right drag screen. cant seem to drag it, and i have been in every setting thing i can find. please help.
