Verizon Cellphone problem:?

So I bought a blackberry curve a few months ago... it went through the wash, so I paid a $90 deductible to get a new phone... only it turned out to be one of those refurbished phones (used/broken/fixed).

it had a minor charging problem. you'd have to jiggle the cord a smidge, but it would eventually work so it didn't seem like a biggie.

then last night it stopped charging all together. took it into verizon and they tried trouble shooting it, but it seemed to have issues they couldn't repair. Since it was under 30days since I got the new phone he thought I could call the insurance company where I got it, and have them take it back and send me a new one.

The insurance comany said they only give a 7 day warranty... after that it's considered damaged goods and you have to pay the $90 insurance deductible for another replacement.

I was thinking... if I did it, it would be almost $200 for refurbished phones when I barely spent $100 for my phone NEW! I wonder if it's even worth going through the insurance company.

should I say screw them and buy a certified pre-owned Droid phone or get a verizon phone off of ebay (of course from a 100% feedback rated company with a return policy...) or should i bite the bullet and pay the deductible to get a replacement blackberry again?
