Ok, trying still to connect my phone to BitPim with no luck.

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything in this order.

A: Install Curitel drivers (Comes with PC Sync)
B: Reboot PC
C: Install BitPim
C: Reboot PC
D: Connect phone via cable (May require the USB DIAG MODE be enabled first, may not)
E: Start Bitpim
F: Go to Settings
G: Go to Com Port-Browse
H: Choose Curitel Packet Service under available ports
I: Click OK
J: Click OK
I: Click Filesystem Tab
K: Click the + to expand the tree

Still I have nothing, I have set the phone to USB DIAG and left it at default, neither works.

I have set the phone in BitPim to other and to LG-VX4400, neither works.

All the ports are set to COM4, meaning the modem, the port, and in BitPim, nothing working, changed them all to COM7, still nothing, so I changed them back to COM4 and now I get a popup with this message....

COM4: could not open port: (2, 'CreateFile', 'The system cannot find the file specified.'

I haven't seen this before, so I changed it back to COM6 and got the same message, I am at a loss.

Yes I have done the tutorials on ThePhoneMall.net and none of those worked either.

Thanks
Aaron.

Ok, discovered this, maybe it makes a difference, maybe not.

When I go to the "Choose a comm port" within BitPim aka settings, browse Com Port I get the pop up window that lets me select the com port, it lists 2 different ones....

Curitel Packet Service
Curitel Packet Service Diagnostic Serial Port (WDM) (COM7)

I have selected both of them, and no luck, but I was reading all the info on the screen about the ports and found this....

Under Property there is "available" which is "False" and the description says "it was not possible to open this port"

So I went back into the device manager and everything is set up and enabled and working, but it seems to me this is the problem.

I have changed COM ports and I still get the False status on "available".

I turned off my spyware doctor, turned off norton antivirus, turned off windows firewall, I can't think of anything else to turn off.

So am I on the right page here, does this port have to be available? Makes sense, so how do I make it True?

Thanks
Aaron.
