verizon bluetooth won't connect?

i have a verizon bluetooth headset, not sure what model number, that has been sitting in my drawer for a while. i just bought a ps3 and would like to use my headset but for some reason now it wont connect. i used to use it all the time on my phone, but now i cant even do that. Nothing is recognizing it.

and yes it is charged
