Verizon Backup Assistant Question?

I signed up for backup assistant because I didn't feel like keying in 200 phone numbers into my phone. I prefer to type them into backup assistant and then download them to my phone address book.

My Question: Do I get charged and billed for data usage whenever I use my backup assistant to sync my address book, be it from my phone's get going application or from the backup assistant website itself? I have called customer service about it and have gotten a few differing answers.

I don't have a data plan, I don't use the net or anything like that, barely use text messaging so I just pay as I go. It's worked out cheaper that way for me.

If you are using "My Account" there is no charge for the service. However, the airtime used by the program is billed like everything else. If you have the program set up to sync automatically every day, you will see a minute of airtime billed every day.

That is correct, but Nags very specifically said he doesn't have a data plan, so I assume he doesn't have the V-Cast VPak.

It should be noted that the $15.00 per month V-Cast VPak covers all data usage airtime, including Get It Now, VZNavigator, MobileWeb, V-Cast Music, and Backup Assistant, just to name a few.

Aslong as your a member of my account online then backup assistant is free everymonth, then just have it so it updates at night and it will use night and weekend minutes.

There is some problem with backup assistant that apparently effects some phones. I have been trying to backup over 50 names and numbers from my on-line storage to a new cell phone for weeks now. Trouble techs at level on will say there is no problem. Trouble techs at level 2 will sometimes say there is a open trouble ticket with instructions to not open new ones and sometimes say there is no problem. I have now had my phone replaced and the problem remains...so nothing with backup assistant should be banked on 100%...
