Verizon: Adding a line?

Okay, so we're adding a line, but when we do it asks us what minutes we want... if we have a 700 minute plan, but if we select the 1400 one while we're adding the line will it change the whole plan? And if we just pick 700 will our plan stay the same? I'm kinda confused here >.<

if you choose 700, everything will stay the same. If you choose 1400, thats an extra $20 a month
