Verizon 65 Plus Plan

I am looking at getting a new phone and calling plan. I am over 65 and interested in the Verizon 65 Plus Individual (200 minutes for $30/month) plan. The Verizon web site lists a few phones on the 65 Plus plan page. I am wondering if they only offer a specific group of phones, or whether the 65 Plus can be used on any of the Verizon phones. Can anyone with experience on the 65 Plus plan advise? Thanks.

When you did the online order process for the 65+ plan, were you looking (specifically) at the plan with 200 minutes for $29.99? I have attempted to use the online ordering process, and it will only allow me to choose a selected list of phones, which does not include any BlackBerry phones. I have also found a page on the Verizon web site which has this to say about the 65 Plus calling plan:

"Am I limited on phones that I can select with this calling plan?
Yes, Nationwide Plus Plan is not eligible on any BlackBerry (RIM) devices."

I went back to a Verizon store today, and although they first 'thought' I could get a BlackBerry with the 200 minute calling plan, they were unable to process my order through their system either. They did say that I could do it if I signed up for the 450 minute plan for $40 per month.

At this point, I am about 90% sure that I cannot get a BlackBerry with the 200 minute plan.

So, if you (cybiko123) could confirm that you did get to order the 200 minute plan, I would be appreciative of the confirmation. Or did you get the 450 minute plan?

Thanks.

I decided to drop the quest for a BlackBerry and got an LG Versa from Verizon instead. It was available with the 65 Plus 200 minute plan. I have downloaded their application called GPSGolfShot and I think it will meet my needs.
