Vera Drake, the advert, and the music

Prior to the premiere of 'Vera Drake' on C4 on Saturday evening, the channel are currently showing a trailer with some music playing in the background. I could swear that the music is from 'The Piano', but can't understand why music written specifically for one film is also being used in another one.
Can anyone enlighten me please? (Even if only to tell me that I'm stone deaf and that the music is nothing like that from 'The Piano'. :) )

The music, is by Ludovico Einaudi (can't remember the song title, but trawl iTunes and you'll find it). He's a modern classical pianist, absolutely brilliant.

It is music from The Piano in the trailer for Vera Drake, the track is called The Sacrifice on the score CD I think. Well that's what I heard on the channel 4 trailer.

It is "The Heart asks Pleasure First" from the composer Michael Nyman's original score to "The Piano" and it was released in 1994 as a single thanks the success of the movie at the Oscars.
As well as the Vera Drake trailer, it was also used in a bank ad recently, possibly LloyRAB TSB but I am not 100% sure.
It is a beautiful piece of music which always makes me well up, but it just isn't the same without the context of the movie!

Thanks joleen. Yes, the music was used in the LloyRAB TSB ad. Such a pity there had to be a voice-over so I couldn't hear the music properly.:(
As you say, a beautiful piece of music.
