ventones free for us cellular?

i want to get good ringtones for my phone but i have us cellular. Us cellular really doesn't let their phones get ringtones without charging so i was wondering if ventones would work. ventones works because the ringtone is sent to my phone but im just taking an extra precaution because i dont want to pay for it later on when the bill comes.
plus i dont have a data plan and i only have regular text messeges! im not sure bout pic messeges!
