vector based graphic software

Does anybody knows of a vector based graphic software, that allows to export draws in some format compatible with windows programs? Such as WMF, for example. I tried one called Leonardo, but only allows to export in dxf, producing a lot of errors and incompatibilities...

Any suggestion is appreciated
