anyone have this?

Is it pretty straightforward doing things like resetting the TPS and service lights, etc.? Or do you buy it, run the program and get lost in a world of confusion?

I want something user friendly!

second ? , what ECU does the 1198S have as it doesn't say on their chart. Is it the 5AM, same as the 1098?

The manufacturers website has a up to date ECU list.

Or attached if you can't find it.
Attached also is a the users guide.

It looks to be very straight forward to use and all changes are reversible if you get lost.

To adjust the idle circuit CO/o2 you'll need a 'sniffer' of some sort. LT at Desmotimes was selling the Gunsen gastester but there are better available I hear.
The Gunsen slips into the end of the muffler but the more accurate ones screw into the port in your headers.

There are a lot of Spot members using the VDST software - you'll just have to search the varoius posts here or wait for them to reply to this thread.

When purchasing you'll need to get the right version either PC or PDA and the correct cabling to connect to the ECU/wiring of the bike.

thanks for the help!

I just ordered one, so we'll see how it works. Saves me some time having to drive 50miles to have my service light turned off, tps reset, etc. Not a bad price either.
