Here is a pic of what I am talking about.Does this look right.

Hello everyone I have a question about my Vanes & Hines staight shots. I just finshed installing them today. My question is this the part of the pipe that get's screwed onto the head gasket with the flange. The flange does not sit flush to the head gasket like the stock pipes did.Is this the why that they they all are or did I do something wrong. Wish I new how to post pics on here because I took some pictures of it. Any help would be great.

That is the way they are made. Don't screw them too tight or you will bend the flange.

Thanks for your reply. I just thought it did not look right. Good to know that it is ok. I started the bike there was no leaks for the head cylinder so I think I'm ok.

Tighten to 17 ft/lbs
