It's out on dvd from monday,and i'm considering wheather to buy it or not.Did anyone catch it in the cinema,if so i would be grateful for any reviews on it before i spend

Personally, I really enjoyed it, and so did the mates I went with. Don't expect an in-depth storyline or something deep and meaningful, but if you just want a good, fun action movie it's great (and Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale look fantastic!)

Saw this last night!!!! (hubby works for Blockbuster so we can see things before they are out! )

I really enjoyed this i love films like this and i ahve also love Sommers previous films too so im not surpirsed i loved it!!!

It's a good Friday/Saturday night film to watch with the mates.

But i wouldn't suggest for you to actually buy this film, i would suggest you rent it out for a night or two!

How can you think Van Helsing is a good film? I thought Sommers worst film before this was Mummy Returns but this comes a close second. There is no plot what so ever in this film as it is just one action scene blending into another action scene. I was so looking forward to this film before it was released in the cinema but as usual I was let down badly. However it just seems that a lot of people have been blinded by the hype!

I really guess its each to their own!!!!!
i really liked this film and also liked the Mummy films!!! but there are many films around that many think are the dogs bollocks that i find are a real pile of shite!!

Its not a question of being blinded by the hype. What exactly where you expecting!
From the trailers its pretty obvious what it was going to be, just an action film with loaRAB of CGI effects.
I saw it expecting nothing more, and went away enterained by it.

Exactly! How could I have been blinded by the hype when I actually saw the film and enjoyed it?! The only thing I was expecting was a good action movie and a bit of a laugh, which is exactly what I got. Not entirely sure what you mean, Motthus.
