Arwen and Aragorn are probably the most "dramatic" couple that I ship (which makes sense, given the epic nature of the trilogy as a whole), but they never seem melodramatic to me. When they talk with each other, they have such beautiful things to say, such lovely romantic dialogue, but it always rings true. Never too over-the-top.

Oh when he got the evenstar back i think he was soo relieved he thought he lost one of the most precious things and then to have it back, maybe it was like having a piece of Arwen with him...to give him hope!

Well, I'm with you about the Firefly couples (just rewatched "War Stories" last night - I do love Wash/Zoe!). Don't know those other two fandoms, though.

No matter how much I want to be hard-hearted and upset with Elrond for trying to basically break up Aragorn/Arwen and send her away, I just can't do it. Yeah, it's Arwen's decision to make, but he's her father and he's honestly trying to do what's best for her, to keep her from being heartbroken and dying. I think it's his line about "Do I not also have your love?" that always gets to me.

Now, when I find out he kept the future about Eldarion's existence a secret, I have an easier time being annoyed with him. :nono: Still like the guy overall, though.

We fell to the 4th page, oh no!

I really like the blue and red one she wears in ROTK, and the riding cape thing from FOTR, the use of velvet is so romantic.

It's the little things that make them stand out. It's how they don't need tons of worRAB to express their love, how they can be both playful and serious. A deep couple.

Sorry I've been so M.I.A. :(

One of my favorite TTT moments is when Aragorn gets to Helms Deep, after everyone thought he was killed, and Legolas returns the evenstar to him. So lovely - both for the way Aragorn looks (he was so glad to have it back, even though he thought Arwen had gone to the Undying LanRAB by then) and for the fact that Legolas knew what that necklace meant to Aragorn, how important it was for him. Such a nice moment. :)

Legolas was definitely a Muse. ;)

Nope, no reason besides really cruddy spelling on my part. I didn't think it was Firefly, I just didn't recognize it. Anywho...do you have a favorite Arwen dress in the trilogy? For some reason I was looking pretty closely at the clothing during my marathon and just fell in love with her dresses.

Can I be added to the list? :flowers: In studying for the AP English Literature exam, I decided to watch all three LotR movies again so that I could use it on the free response section. Of course, it made me remeraber how very much I love A/A. They really are beautiful together. :sigh:

:bump:

My absolute favorite pairing from the movies. I haven't read the books and judging from what I've read they don't have many moments. I'm glad the movies remedied that. Though I do want to read the books. I tried a long time ago when the movies first came out. It was hard to get into but since I'm older...I'm gonna give it another go.

Viggo & Liv had so much chemistry. Just the way Aragorn looked her you could tell he loved her so much.

I agree, i love the tenderness and sweetness between them because i dunno why but i do. And its lasted so long between them!!

Its just true love for them with one another...arwen definatly wouldn't have made her choice the way she did if it wasn't!

That’s true too.

I think that they are the only couple I could talk about this much with the possible exception of Matt/Harriet from Studio 60 and Anita/Jean Claude from the Anita Blake Vampire series of books. Maybe also some Firefly ships too, dunno. I love multi-layered couples, what can I say.

Oh i love the little moments between them, so beautiful. How she could tease him, lol!!

And i love the little touches they gave one another....they were just love and he was always so caring with her!

It was and is love i tell ya!

 "The culmination of their long and varied love" indeed. :eyebrows:

Wow...only I could make that sound dirty.

And ooo! I'm reading the old RPG and it makes me miss it soo much. :pout: I miss Corran and how whipped he was over Yavanna. :sigh:

Back to topic: Aragorn/Arwen is !

Longford is a movie with Samantha Morton and Jim Broadbent, it's an rabroadO movie. :)

You could watch LOTR again and again and again, there are so many moments.

Thanks for the heaRAB up tonka. :)
