As I suspected, due to the few cutscenes and overall textiness of the game, this anime will translate really well storyboard-wise.

And judging by both the opening and ending, it looks like they're really going to push the Jann-Largo relationship for all it's worth. :3

Well, if the opening is any indication (Random Curiosity has a good video), the animation and its style will not disappoint. I'm very happy to hear that this translates far better than other animation series that try to adapt a video game.

Ok, I've seen it.

A few changes like - the soldiers with Alicia are kiRAB. Alicia has this one blonde that looks kind of like her that helping out...sort of. The Gallia soldiers have a meeting to plan out a strategy. Welkin gets locked in a shed. Welkin escapes. No soldiers attack Isara, but Alicia attacks her out of suspicion. etc. etc etc.

An so-so adaptation so far. The soundtrack stays, which is awesome. If you look closely, some of the water color textures are there.

Isara's eyes still bug me.

The ending animation cracks me up.

If I had a PS3 I'd so own this game lol, but ya so since I don't know anything about the storyline not having played the game I'm wondering something about the world.

It seems like Europa/Europe is in some kind of alternate timeline then ours. There's references to a first european war, but apparently this universe's Europe has some kind of metal/ore called Ragnacite? That they use for various things.

I was just wondering if someone knew where a world map was (probably from the game) online. I saw a small one when i googled for it, but I couldn't make out individual country names, but the continent looked pretty much like our europe, but different borders obviously.

Cool thanks. So same geography, but none of the city names are familiar. I also thought the Atlantic Federation was what they were calling America, but that maps shows me that Europa is split between them and the Imperial Alliance.

So I watched this out of curiosity and it's pretty good. Though, and this may sound weird, I'm not exactly sure why I like it so much. The characters as so far are kind of stereotypical but not to the point where I dislike the show because of it. (Well, Welkin's pretty weird but he is my favorite character because of it ) I guess it's just a fun show to watch. Well, regardless, I'll be following this one. Shows like this and Tales of the Abyss are good to watch since I don't exactly have the money to buy the games all the time

I do want to buy Valkyria Chronicles someday though.

I actually found the show faithful to a point that it feels almost soulless, just like Tales of the Abyss. But, good to see the minor troops get some screentime, and some of the soundtrack kept.

After two episodes, I'd say that I like it. I'm not amazed yet, but I'm certainly interested enough to keep going since it's one of my favorites of the season so far. The show is attractive, I'm entertained by Alicia's personality, and while violence doesn't quite capture the realism of war it doesn't hide the reality of death either. I'm thinking episode 3 will carry things on rather well, considering that it's getting the larger militia unit together and we could have an actual full-scale battle coming up.

So far the series has been simple but elegant and fun to watch, and that suits me fine. I would definitely buy DVD's.

The only issue I see is that Welkin seems overly calm and subdued, but that may well change as the story goes on. I know from my knowledge of the game that he takes on the role of a commanding officer.

That is all.

I wish the tank was that fast in the game, and had that much driving range.

As far as the previews go, looks like a lot of camera shots of Sylvaria's breasts. The animators couldn't wait to put that augmented design to use I see.

I guess Rosie is some kind of alien or something.

Aside from that, I thought the latest episode was kinda dull compared to the first two. Maybe it had to the lack of interaction with the other minor characters that kinda gave it that feel.

I think the budget decreased a bit for the third episode, that's why it doesn't seem as special. I saw some minor animation slipups in my viewing that the first two episodes didn't have.

I enjoyed episode 3, but man, this really is an alternate history. Not long after the prejudice started coming, I couldn't help substituting "Darcsen" with "Jew" and feeling ill at ease. Even Welkin's victory and winning of the bet didn't win Brigitte and Largo over on this. Hopefully, they will come around.

4 seems like filler almost, although I wouldn't know since the show is now beyond what I've seen of the game.

It's kind of surreal that they keep the backgrounRAB so accurate to the game, down to the nuraber of buildings. I only realize this because I died so many times at Kloden Forest, lol.

Hahaha. Yeah, I remeraber that being a hard fight. D: Also, I'm pretty sure I'm hearing Lelouch in Maximillian? I can't remeraber if that's his voice actor or not. Either way, if it is.. it's so fitting.
