Hey everyone - I sold my Escort 8500 X50 (which served me well actually) and have bought the V1. I am going to use it both in my car and the bike. I have searched all the forums and have seen some good installs, but I am looking for someone who has done an install without a "bracket" - possibly with Velcro that is hidden as possible. I saw one gentlemans setup with the V1 tucked inside the front fairing which was really nice - but that makes the detector fairly fixed to just the bike. I have read that you can at least get a radar signal through the fairing - even Mike Valentine on the V1 website mentions this. So is there anyone out there with a trick setup? I planning on using the HARD system as well so I am not as concerned about even seeing the Bogey Counter etc. If I see the light in my Arai, then I know to be alert (living in NH I don't have to worry about too many false alarms).
