Vagina grips during sex?

This may seem like a good thing to some people but its bothering me now. I use to tighten my vagina during sex for a pleasurable experience for my partner but now its does it on it on. It does it to the point where it literally gripping his penis and during sex its great but afterward he has whelps and his penis hurts. I've search why I might be doing this but I couldn't find anything. I guess my question would be does anyone else has this problem or may know what it is?
