The overall voltage is 10 Volts, and there are three resistances connected side by side, 1 Ohm, 2 Ohms and 5 Ohms. The resistances are connected side by side. ( do we say the resistances are connected in the serial manner? )

the resistances are connected like this

==(R)==(R)==(R)==

What is the overall resistance? is it 8 Ohms? What is the current and voltage in each resistance? thanks a lot!!

serial.....yes 8 ohms.....

u have the formula V=IR

v = 10
i guess u can work out the current...*hint*....current is same in all resistors....
