V&H Power Duals vs. Rinehart True Duals, 2010 Limited

On a side note, I have true duals (Rineharts) and love the sound/tone. However, after adding cams (SE 255's) the bike has gotten noticably louder & at wide open throttle VERY LOUD! Something to keep in mind if ever plan on a cam swap in that bueaty.

Kuten...have you had any problems scraping your V&H power duals when cornering? I have read on v-twinforums.com some riders say they hang down lower than the stock exhaust on a CVO RG......what do you say?

Or has anyone else ran into this issue? thanks

They will touch down if you are not running enough air in the rear... so will the Monster Ovals if you are running them. You have to be leaned over pretty far though. The only time I have ever gotten into them was 2 up.

hey bmfinpcb.......are you having any clearance problems with your V&H power duals, from the picture it doesn't look any lower than the frame rail.

OK......that helps alot wheelsnkeels, so with my CVO Roadie I could probably get by if I added a different header since I already have Bassani slip-ons and hi-flow air cleaner installed wo a re-map?

One thing I always chime in on when I see a thread about the Power Duals is a small courtesy warning if you're considering the Power Duals. Many guys never lean their bikes much at all. I don't know how you ride, but if you like to lean your bike more than the average rider, do not get the Power Duals. I have them on two bikes and they're both all ground up on the bottom surfaces. The entire length of the heat shields! There's a reason the factory put that angle into the OE header. And I found out the hard way what it was!

Having said that, my Roadie with the Power Duals and Monster Ovals runs uncharacteristically strong for a motor with no internal mods. I think this header has its place. You merely need to assess your riding style to determine if the one major design flaw would affect you or not.

HD2009MAN,

Haven't had a problem what so ever. (knock on wood) Man, my roadie has been running really good. I have been using the same wrench for my last couple of bikes, and both my parts guys & wrench said don't mess w/ it. I'm still under warranty. However, I will be putting one on this winter. I want to prolong the life on my engine & get the most out of it! Honestly, I have been pretty damn impressed so far and getting pretty darn good mpg too!

Thanks for the compliment, and you're right, the '11 with cool blue/vivid black is really nice. Another really nice bike, especially when you're close up, is the '10, merlot sunglo/cherry red sunglo. They flipped it for "11, put the Cherry on top (no pun intended, funny though), but I like the earlier version better.
