Using my audiovox as a gateway on verizon

I have a Audiovox XV6600 that has verizon broadband access. I also have a laptop. Both devices have bluetooth.
I want to share my internet connection that's on my pda/cell with my laptop through the bluetooth but I'm having difficulty accomplishing this goal.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
Everything else works fine, like vsynch, I can browse each device with the other, but for some reason I can't get the pda to share it's internet connection with the laptop. The option is there, but when it comes to connectiong the devices together in this mode it just will not work.

What gives??

I think it's disabled for Verizon, because they want you to but their laptop adapter. I'm sure there's someway to get around it though.
