Using html to name a link in Yahoo! mail using Firefox?

When I used IE, I could name a link by using the following html code:

<a href=http:/WEBSITE_NAME.com> WHATEVER_NAME_I_WANT</a>

However, now I've switched to Firefox, if I type the same code - it just stays exactly as it's typed.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or is this facility not available with Firefox?
