using firefox, I cannot bring up prior days history list as I used to do?

using firefox start page, i clk on history which brings up last 10, with an option "show all history". This option used to bring a list of several days history, but now gives options today and yesterday which leads to nowhere. What have I changed wrong.
 
If you click on history, a drop down box will appear with the last ten in it. Also there is an option, 4 rows down "Show all History" (Ctrl+Shift+H). This will bring up a ton of history. Probably up until the last time you cleaned up your drive with a maintenance tool.
