Using AT&T E71x as Bluetooth Modem in a Mac OS X?

How Can I Use My AT&T E71X as a Modem?
I have the original macbook pro and I can pair it via bluetooth but I cannot get it to be used as a modem?

Does anyone have any info or advice on how to accomplish this?

i googled and googled but to no avail..
