Surely you can manage at 20MB for the other 16 hours a day that you can max out your line? That must be what - 2 DVDs per hour x 16 = approx 30 DVDs in one day?
And no, SSL only hides what traffic is being d/l, you would still be capped as your overall data d/l would still be the same, data is data no matter how much it is encrypted

Thought that'd be the case. The other hours are great but I'm not always at home and so half the stuff I download is when I get back from work. Tend to stop at the misses on the night so mite have to leave running overnight whilst am out.
Will stick with Newshosting if the connections would make no difference.

Yup, must of us leave the PC on for doing most downloading after midnight, then queue more up at brekkie if needed.
Newzbin & Newshosting both have options to input times you need to limit your downloads, there might be more clients, but them's the 2 I use so can only comment on them, you may wish to look into that more.
