I bought a used Tungsten T3 at Circuit City. I thought all info would have been deleted. The previous users name and info is still in it and then Hot Synced on to my computer. How do I change the user on both my PC and Palm? Also, how do I erase all the old info from the PC and Palm?

1. Do a hard reset on your Palm. You can find out how to do a hard reset at http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/...82,K=5806,Sxi=7,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=887 .

2. Do a hotsync. You will get a dialog box asking you to chose a user name. Click on the new button and enter your user name. You first name and last name are usually a good choice.

3. After the hotsync, you should find your Palm is now clean as is the Palm desktop. Open the Palm desktop and go to the User box in the right hand corner. Hit the drop down arrow and select "Edit Users". Select the user name that's different from the one you just created and then delete that user. That will get rid of the previous user's data.
