Used jeep failed safety inspection 3 weeks after purchase. Does dealer have to pay...

...for repairs? SORRY!! This is long but I need to know what to do!!
I bought a used jeep Nov 18th in Mass. I live in RI. I have a 30 day warranty with a 100.00 deductible. Dealer didn't have the title, said he would have it in 3 days but didn't get it to me till the 25th. This made me ineligible for the 7 day lemon aid law for a full refund if it fails inspection.
The engine light came on the 19th. He had me bring it to his mechanic. They put in new spark plugs, a e vap hose and a purge valve hose(? not sure if that is the right thing) Engine light went off but came back on after 80 or so miles. Found it needed a ignition coil. I had also told him the back windshield wiper didn't work and brake light was out. Sent me back to his mechanic. Agreed to pay for the wiper and break light but not the ignition coil. He said it wasn't part of an inspection. It is and it would have failed without it (his mechanic told him that) I told him I would pay the 100 deductible and he had to pay the rest. He said HE would put a hundred towards it and I had to pay the rest! The mechanic only took a hundred from me.
Now, last week, it failed inspection. Emissions is fine but it failed for front breaks and front U joint. Got a quote of 250 to fix. I called him again about that and he basically flipped. I told him I talked to consumer affairs and they said he legally had to fix it.(which I really did, called the MASS number) He needed to talk to his partner and was supposed to call me back and didn't. I called the next day...he said he would do the brakes but that he doesn't think the U joint was part of an inspection and his partner was checking into it. He also said I couldn't go back to the original mechanic he sent me too and that he would get to it in the next "week or two" My 30 day warranty will be up on the 18th. I think he is trying to wait till after that to tell me that he didn't have to pay for it.
I understand the 7 day Lemon Aid Law but I'm confused about the whole failing inspection thing.
Doesn't he LEGALLY have to pay for the repairs because it failed inspection, even if it is after the 7 days?? There is no way the brake pads went down to nothing and the U joint rotted in 3 weeks so those defects were there when I bought it.
By the way....he wanted me to bring it to a inspection station where it would have passed when we were arguing about the ignition coil. So this guy is a real jerk.
Before I call him back tomorrow I want to know what I'm talking about!!
Thank you so much for your time!
I forgot to add that I know I was STUPID when I bought this. Just want an answer to my question not a lecture on my stupidity. Believe me I've beaten myself up over this every day since I bought it!!!!!!!

You're welcome! Basically the lemon law would only apply if you have the same problem multiple times and it has to be IDENTICAL to the last problem 3 or 4 times.

Yeah, buying it without a title sounds like it was an extremely shady dealership. The vehicle should have been RI state inspected PROPERLY when you bought it.

Report them for selling you a vehicle without a title, make them fix ALL repairs and tell them to stuff that deductible non-sense where the sun don't shine. Report them!!!!!!!!
