I bleached my hair a very white blonde about a week and a half ago, and the color was not suited to me at all, so I decided I would go as close to my natural blonde as possible which is a medium gold blonde. Because my hair was somewhat dry and held water a long time on the ends, I was told I needed to use a protein filler before coloring or else the color wouldn't take right. I went out and purchased the filler and the dye and after doing a strand test that came out perfectly, I put the dye on.
After washing it out it looked like it turned out great, if a bit darker than I wanted. I didn't want to wait so I blow dried a chunk of hair and to my disappointment, it doesn't seem to have taken the color correctly. It isn't too noticeable, but my hair fades from a dark golden blonde to a medium blondish gray. It looks pretty, but it isn't what I wanted.
I know better than to try and fix this myself, so I plan to go to a salon in a few days. But I just want to know;
What did I do wrong?
