Use camera phone as magnifier?

I've heard that you can use a camera phone with zoom to read small print on labels and such. Has anyone tried it?

I could've sworn I just answered this question... must've been another member. If it magnifies then yes you can... it all depends on how close to the subject your particular model of phone can get and keep in focus though... what phone model do you have?

The 860 getts pretty blurry the closer it gets to things when on zoom, you csn try it but in most cases it gets too blurry to read.
