USB Mic/Headphone Headset. I want to use the Mic, but use Desktop speakers. Help...

...please!? So I have a USB headset that has a Mic and headphones. Y'know, a standard headset and all. I want to use the mic for gaming, but I want sound to come from my desktop speakers, not out of the headphones attached to the headset. I keep trying to switch the output in my control panel, but it refuses to switch back to the desktop speakers until I unplug the headset. How can I get my desktop speakers to work and use my USB mic at the same time?
 
Maybe if you look around on google for awhile you'll find something.

Maybe try and get an exchange then swap it for a mic headset with two plugs, one for mic and one for the headphones, they're much more convenient.
