USB for phone`

my brothe has recently bought a phone from nextel(i860) he bought a usb for it so he could make ringtones... i am thinking about buying a boost mobile i285... does anyone know if the usb would fit the i285?

I imagine it would, as far as I know all of a manufacturer's data cables are compatible.

Both accessory plug-ins on the bottom are the exact same. They both meet the FALCON standard adopted by MOTO. Do not try to use a cable from an older model (EAGLE or CONDOR) on these phones as they lack a riser in the power supply area of the plug which is needed to compat with the newer (FALCON) standard. Simple answer is: YES, THERE'S NO PROBLEM!
