I didnt realize how stupid the US laws were till I was a foreign exchange student to Germany. Over there I could have a beer, or 5 if I wanted to, and there was always public transportation to get home. Wasnt a "big deal". My parents were pretty cool, and I could have a beer, or a glass of wine at home, while my friends were all out trying to get someone to buy them booze. Then of course, because it was "taboo", it made them want it more and they did stupid stuff drunk. My opinion, my parents did the right thing. I was at home, I knew how much was too much, and they were cool with it. Now days they could be arrested for that! So much for being a parent! Way too much big brother going on here. One night I did get "hammered", came home with the keg in my truck. Dad made me pay by pounding on the door and making me shell walnuts with a hammer, AND a hangover. To this day, I wont do that again! Lesson learned! Telling "underage" adults they can not drink is like dangling a carrot in front of a horse.
