The cold war is an era of tension and no contact. think of it as a regular war minus the violence.

you can also think of it like this: you are upset with a friend and neither of you are talking to each other because you are so mad. you are in a cold war

The first thing you need to know about the Cold War is that it wasn't an actual war. It is explained as cold because the fighting was sustained, or frozen, and it never existed.

The main thing about the war is it was just a conflict between the USSR (Soviet Union - Now Russia today) and the US.

A main thing about it was "The Space Race". Where we had to get to space first, although the russians launched the Sputnik satellite first, but we made it to the moon first.

I suggest you do some more research, this conflict is very interesting.
