Beer lovers' curiosity came to a head last month after Mr Obama was seen proudly handing a bottle of his own concoction to a brewer he met in Iowa and asking for feedback and tips. Since then, the White House has been subject to Freedom of Information requests and an online petition demanding that it share it secret.

The beer is made in large vats in the White House kitchen and then left to distill for several weeks in a cellar underneath 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue before being bottled and affixed with an official label.
Aides stressed that the Obamas had paid for the brewing equipment out of their own pocket and that the beer-making was essentially a private hobby.
But in an election year, where all things are political, Mr Obama's much-publicised interest in beer will be used as a way of making him more relatable to working class voters in key swing states.
It also draws a contrast with Mitt Romney, who does not drink in line with the teachings of his Mormon faith.
Historians believe that the Obamas' brewing experiment is the first time beer has ever been made in the White House. While George Washington distilled whiskey and Thomas Jefferson owned his own vineyard, both men kept their alcohol production on their private Virginia estates.
