US Citizens: Have you ever seen the star Canopus?

Canopus is the second brightest star in the night sky after Sirius. It is in the constellation Carina. In Hawaii, I saw it there.
 
i have never even heard of that star or that constellation so thx for the info...no ive never seen it but if youve seen it from hawaii im sure alot of us citizens have seen it also wouldnt you agree?

edit : as for the above answer....thats just confusing me, i dont want a cookie but i am a little hungry so bye for now
 
i'm not a u.s. citizen nor am i a u.s. resident, but i have seen it. i have seen it from australia and from costa rica.

are u.s. citizens not allowed to travel or something?
