US Cellular question?

I have a US Cellular phone and i think it broke so i want to switch......i have a 2 year plan and i was wondering if i need to pay all the activation fees again or can i just buy the phone.....the activation fee is $100 so with the phone it would be $275.....is this right or am i completly wrong
